Since 1910, for the past 95 years, people from all across the continent have felt the gentle lure to experience new adventures in the magnificent wilderness surroundings of Caribou Lodge on scenic Wood Lake in Muskoka. The Caribou Lodge property was first established as a sawmill and as the years went by, it gradually went from lumbering to the tourist industry. By 1930, Caribou Lodge had grown from a hunting and fishing camp to a family lodge with families returning year after year. We currently have families that have been "migrating" to Caribou Lodge for over the past 50 years and each family has their own magical version of "storytelling" that can be shared summer after summer roasting marshmallows by the campfire.

Come and experience the joy of being in nature with your family, start creating some of your own new "family myths and legends", make wonderful new friends that you look forward to seeing every summer, and drift off to sleep each night in your cozy cabin to the magnificent shrill of the loons on the lake.

Come and experience life the way it was meant to be at Caribou Lodge on Wood Lake in Muskoka.

“There is something magical about Muskoka.  Its essence is irresistible, and we are drawn to fall in love with it. Once we have fallen, it becomes entrenched deep in our hearts, forever a part of who we are.”
